What role does business communication play in your day-to-day activities at work? How does it help you manage your daily work activities?
What trends have you seen in your current or previous workplaces?
What message types result from these trends?

Best answer:

Answer by Rodica
Business communication:
There are several methods of business communication, including:

    * Web-based communication – for better and improved communication, anytime anywhere …
* e-mails, which provide an instantaneous medium of written communication worldwide;
* Reports – important in documenting the activities of any department;
* Presentations – very popular method of communication in all types of organizations, usually involving audiovisual material, like copies of reports, or material prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint or Adobe Flash;
* telephoned meetings, which allow for long distance speech;
* forum boards, which allow people to instantly post information at a centralized location; and
* face to face meetings, which are personal and should be succeeded by a written followup.

Question by Brian J: I need like 50 more words to this essay…can you help me?
I believe that my education here at The New York Institute of Technology teachings will give me an opportunity to promote, advertise, and to even change peoples lives for the better in the field of Communication Arts. Communication Arts is like a cancer, it spreads world wide, just like this years November 4th Election, because change will come. When I said C.A. is like cancer, I really mean it is like a cancer, because it could go from one country to the next. Communication Arts is a field with 10+ options to choose from. These 10+ options that the Communication Arts field has to offer includes: advertising, audio recording and radio, digital film, media studies, print and electronic journalism, public relations, corporate and documentary video, television production, web design and computer graphics. Communication Artist are responsible for letting the public know the new trends in fashion, whats going on behind closed doors in the government, and the latest in entertainment. A communication artist is also responsible for putting other businesses, or services out there. A Communication Artist can develop a web page or commercial for the next Civil Engineerer, or the latest rap or hip hop artist. One of my accomplishments that I am most proud of is my social skills, because that is not an easy thing to overcome. It is so hard; it’s harder then having a baby and I am a dude. In college, as I learn of the teachings that NYIT has to offer me, I plan to write up a business plan, and go from the bottom up.

“I might get in trouble but wateva….like what should I elabrorate on”

Best answer:

Answer by allatsea
Get spread like cancer out of there – spread like wildfire maybe. Elaborate on the couple you know most about. No baby/dude stuff – it’s not professional. Essays aren’t about you – social skills out. Concentrate on communication arts – the fact that you are socially aware isn’t an art, nor is it a category. There, I’ve pared it down – now you need 200 words!

Give your answer to this question below!Tweet

Affiliate Marketing Tips For Beginners: You Will Need Proper Affiliate Marketing Education

Affiliate marketing education is essential for a person wanting to learn more about being an affiliate to make money. There are numerous types of affiliate marketing tips for beginners, but frequently people tend to by pass the most fundamental tips for newbies. For example, what is affiliate marketing? What is the process? Those are issues that many people had when beginning. Here is a basic look at online marketing and why affiliate marketing education is essential for newbies.

Put simply, affiliate internet marketing is the process where an individual advertises and sells a merchant’s merchandise on the net for a commission. Sometimes affiliates question what these commissions are, or they get wrapped up in the idea that some items pay as much as a 75% commission. Affiliate marketing is a fast growing industry because both promoter and merchant prosper from this partnership. That is one of the various reasons why I think affiliate marketing education is essential. There are several avenues that you can take with this business, which is why I have put together what I think are the 3 most important affiliate marketing tips for beginners.

These affiliate marketing tips for beginners are:

1. To begin with, you will need to choose a product or niche that you are knowledgeable about. This is one of my standard affiliate marketing tips for beginners, because it is better to talk about or promote something you already know about. You can put your best foot forward with a subject you are comfortable with. As you advance in your affiliate internet marketing education, you will be able to explore other products and niches. Eventually, you will be able to compete in some of the most saturated markets on the internet. But for now, let’s begin a little lower. Have you got your idea? Great. Let’s get going.

2. Now, you are going to want to search for vendors and products that are pertaining to your area of interest. You will want to locate an affiliate network that has beneficial affiliate materials. Once you have found an affiliate network you are pleased with, then you can start endorsing the program. You can do this in a number of forms, such as articles, web pages, or sites. Of course, I know that last word has a tendency to frighten people. The thought of producing my own site was mind-boggling in the beginning. The good news is you don’t have to start with a internet site; there are a lot of other methods that you can make use of to promote the products. This is another of my affiliate tips for beginners: start small with promotion.

3. As soon as you are ready to market and have chosen which path you want to take, be resourceful with it. No one likes to look at a boring marketing. The right affiliate marketing education will show you how to be creative, and give you methods that you have never even imagined.

Once you have done these basic actions a few times, you are going to be able to develop the techniques you have learned and go in other directions. I recollect when I first began, I was somewhat awestruck. However, with good affiliate marketing education, quite a few things have became simpler to do. So basically, the most fundamental of my affiliate marketing tips for beginners I can offer is to get appropriate affiliate marketing education.

Though most people became wealthy because of the stock market, many have also failed in it because of poor strategy. Read this stock market tips to guarantee your success in the stock market sector.

When you are building your stock portfolio, it is important that you set some guidelines first. The trick to being successful is planning smart. Make sure that you research well and educate yourself about the latest brands and stock market basics. Try to see what others did to be successful and from your observations, set your own rules to follow—the kind of rules that will include how much money you are willing to invest in the stock market.

To be able to create a good and versatile stock market portfolio, keep things spread out well. Do not invest a huge amount of money in just a single basket. Be certain that you do not keep more than 3-percent of your money in one stock. Spread your money and invest them in several stocks to make sure you won’t lose your footing in the stock market sector when the going gets tough. The simple logic with these stock market tips is the more you spread your money; the better you will spread the risks. When one of your stocks dip, you won’t need to worry at all because it is only 3-percent and because you still have other stocks that are well.

Stock market trading is not for everyone but those who enjoy and those who are passionate with it will be last one standing in the long run. Aside from following stock market tips, it is very important that you use your own wisdom in selling and maintaining stocks. It is important that you play by your own rules and stick to it no matter what happens.

Success does not come easily when you are in the stock market sector. But when success comes, you should condition yourself to never be afraid of it. Do you have any idea how many people sell their stocks out of fear of falling out? It is better if you stay firm and ride with the risk because after all, how do you know how far you will go if you do not take risks? By taking risks, you will be able to find your way to success.

Also when it comes to the stock market sector, you must realize that there are never ending stock market tips and that learning never stops. The stock market sector is always facing changes that you should know how to adjust to. This would mean accepting losses and be willing to stand again when you fall and always be ready to win big.

By sticking to these stock market tips, you will educate yourself how to survive the lucrative business of stock market trading.

White Street Capital is a private investment company that employs a number of trading strategies on the US and Australian stock markets. Over the years they have delivered excellent returns, and they pride themselves on their sound investment techniques along with prudent capital management.Tweet

Web branding is antithetical to the notion of perfection. Sometimes the best web branding advice is to let your humanity leak onto the web page. Life’s messy and perfection is not a trait known to mankind. If you make a mistake admit it, laugh about it, make fun of it, allow others to comment on it – in the process you will find prospects looking at your website or blog with an appreciation for the voice of common humanity.

So many businesses rely on a level of perfection they can never attain and hope to sell the idea of a perfect company to prospects. If that’s what you’re doing you have a commodity nobody is buying.
Web branding is about being creative, inventive and sometimes taking your prospect off guard. If you can work on these elements you may find that your website is connecting with customers in a brave new way.
Google provides an example of this approach that has spread to other parts of the web. They have taken their logo and revamped it for almost every holiday and special event. Sometimes it’s fun just to go to their site to see how their logo has changed since the last visit. It’s a bit like the window dressings of yesteryear when your favorite store would redress their windows on a regular basis to provide a sense of newness to their store.
Many websites will try to appeal to all demographics, but the truth is by selecting a demographic your wish to market to and then allowing web branding to help cast your business as an authority in this demographic you may find your approach is a turn off to some in a demographic that is either older or younger than your chosen target.
When you land on a demographic to serve you will find more freedom to create web branding ideas that are innovative and entertaining to that demographic.
Can you provide some freebies?

If so, you have another means of branding your website. By attacking the web branding issue from multiple fronts you stand a better chance of keeping prospects coming back – sometimes just to see what you’re doing next.

By David M. Buddingh

So you have decided to finally go for it. You and your best friend are following your dreams and finally opening that business you have discussed for years. Visions of record profits, becoming leaders in your industry, and introducing the world to the next latest and greatest product or fad occupy your thoughts.

But there are still very important questions that need to be answered on your way to conquering the world. What are each partner’s responsibilities to the partnership? What happens when your partner wants to leave the business? How do I keep my proprietary information confidential? How do I keep my new partner from defecting to a rival organization or starting a new competitor organization? What happens if the business is not the success you hoped?

These questions are often overlooked in the excitement of founding a new business, but they are essential to ensure long-term success for your business. The answers to those important questions can be found in a properly drafted operating agreement or shareholder’s agreement or partnership agreement.

In addition to the essential organizational documents to shield you from any personal liability associated with your new business, a new venture also will need an operating agreement or shareholder’s agreement or partnership agreement.

The agreement is called by different names depending on what type of entity you used to structure your business. If you formed a corporation, you would have a shareholder’s agreement. A limited liability company would use an operating agreement, and a regular partnership that is not incorporated would typically have a partnership agreement. While the names of the documents are different, the agreements contain very similar terms and issues. However, special issues exist for operating agreements and shareholders’ agreements. You should consult your attorney for details.

Generally, the agreement you choose for your entity will describe the arrangements between you and your partner. Typically, these include buyout provisions, terms of distributions, use of proprietary information, management of the entity, shareholder or manager rights and responsibilities and, if appropriate, a noncompete clause. Many other provisions can be used to tailor your agreement to your particular arrangement.

Before you get swept away in the dream, take the time to execute a few simple documents that will protect your new business and your interests. As always consult your attorney before launching your new venture.

Everyone is talking about how great iPhone and Android applications are, however not that many people have actually taken time and effort to sit down and compile a full list of why brands and companies should have an app in the first place.

Below is our take on this issue, however this document is work in progress and if you have more ideas – please let us know, we’ll add them to our list.

1. PR Tool – smartphone apps in general and iPhone apps in particular are a brilliant opportunity to contact the media and let them know about your company and brand. It doesn’t matter, whether you are a start up or well established brand – media loves to talk about iPhone apps and this is you chance to capitalize on that trend (while the novelty lasts).

2. Reach a specialized market – let’s face it, iPhone/smartphone users are a very peculiar cohort: IT-literate professionals, early adopters, internet-savvy – the target market at the time of writing is well defined. If your brand’s target audience is similar – what are you waiting for?

3. Improve branding and advertising – give it your best shot! Create something spectacular, something special, something unique – create an app-solutely stunning app. It’s a great opportunity to advertise your brand to a big wide world at a relatively low cost.

4. Be at the forefront of innovation – being at the forefront of innovation can be incredibly lucrative. Ask any big brand which created a web-site before its competitors did. Don’t be the one who wonders “what just happened”? Make things happen! The Planet of the Apps will be HUGE and the sooner you embrace change, the more opportunities you will have.

5. Revenues – smartphone applications can actually make you money. Depending on what your business is – you can cross-sell, up-sell and simply sell your products via the App Store. Some companies make decent money, a handful of brands managed to make a lot of money, however the vast majority of brands are still using iPhone apps as brand extensions.

6. Expectation – believe it or not, but a lot of IT-literate, smartphone-savvy, young professionals expect well-known brands to have an app now, so if you are a leader in your industry – you should start thinking of creating an app.

7. Compete with the big guns – it can be difficult to compete with the big guns on the product and service front, but on the App Store – all are equal. Create something unique and stand out from the crowd!

8. Competition – with more than 200,000 applications on the App Store, it is highly likely that your competitors do have an app for their products or services. If that is the case – you have to have one as well to keep up with the competition. If they don’t have – lucky you! Get one, to be a step ahead of your competition.

9. Get more customers, followers, fans – iPhone and smartphone users are a different breed altogether. You have a good opportunity to appeal to this great crowd. In normal circumstances they may never hear about your brand or use your services. With an iPhone app – you stand a much greater chance to appeal to this great crowd.

10. Additional form of contact, interaction and show-off – the more opportunities you have to interact with your clients and show-off your brand, the better. An iPhone app, if nothing else, can be one of those things which helps to you to provide additional point of contact to the outside world.

In business the market place is continually changing as the demographics of the population shift. New technology is coming to the market at an exhilarating speed. Businesses that catch the latest trends will ride the wave for years to come.

The biggest change taking place now and over the next few years is the rise in power of the mature (50 plus) market. By 2025 one in three people in the UK will be 55 or older. In Europe the percentages will be even higher! The spending power of this segment will be huge. In most case the retirees will have paid of their mortgages and will no longer have to support their children.

How will this affect business and what changes do I expect?

Fitness Clubs – Up till now gyms have been primarily marketed to young, health conscious, beauty obsessed people between 18 to 40 years old. Over the next few years this will change as the market realises how much disposable money the retirees have.

Nutrition Foods – The ageing population has different nutritional needs and requirements from its younger counterparts. Expect to see a lot more supplements that specifically target the “mature” market. Labels will be in larger font sizes so that they are easier to read…

Fashion – Stores will open that specifically target the 50 plus bracket. No longer will this age group be ignored. Some of the trendiest people on the streets will be retirees! Not only will they demand great looking designer wear but they will also insist on comfort.

Financial Products – as the major banks and loan providers realise that many people in their 50s still have a good 20 years left to live; they will design specific mortgages and loans for this age group. Let’s face it, these mature people have the benefit of years of experience and are unlikely to take on debt if they thought they might not be able to keep up repayments.

Property – many people in the 50 plus bracket now want to sell their big houses and live in easy to maintain luxury apartments. If you think the prices of quality 2 to 3 bedroom apartments are high now wait till you see the full impact over the next twenty years!

Vehicles – retirees do not need large cars or off roaders. They require small powerful cars with large boot spaces for their golf clubs & holiday luggage. They need the power for pulling their luxury caravans and DIY trailers.

Welcome to the future of the 50 plus. This is just the beginning.
